Crafty Christmas Decorations

We put up our Christmas decorations yesterday, one of the things I love about doing it is the memories that come flooding back. In recent years some of those memories consist of all the support I have had since blogging from online friends and also family. Over the past 4 years since I started blogging I have been given some wonderful handmade decorations.

I thought I would invite you into my tree to take a look:

This lovely little guy was made for me by a lovely lady who sells beautiful handmade dolls. She came to visit me a couple Christmas eves ago with a parcel for me.

This bell is part of a set that I won over at I Heart Crafts in 2009 . I remember it well as it was the year I was bedbound over Christmas with the dizzies and at the time it bought me a lot of joy to receive such lovely thing in the post.

This was given to me in a swap I took part in waaay back in 08. I dont remember who sent it me but I still love it!

My Mum made me and hubby these crackers, she has made me a lot of decorations over the years, one of which she made me while she was poorly one Christmas, she didnt do anything else that Christmas day except make me a stocking, I will never forget it. I have picked these to show you as they remind of the lovely Christmas dinner we had when she gave them to us. It was my nephews first Christmas and seeing his face looking around as he wondered what was going on was wonderful to see.

So theres a little sneak peek into my tree, collecting memories is the best part of Christmas for me, I love to look back and pick out the nicest memories I have as even in the difficult times there is always a little light shining through.

  1. It is wonderful how something as simple as a tree can have so much sentimental value. You have some lovely items but the memories could not be bought.
